For the first time in over a decade, the Bay State’s unemployment rate briefly climbed above the national rate, which stands at 4.8%. It is estimated that there are 3.207 million people unemployed in Massachusetts and that most of these gaps are in the manufacturing and financial sectors. On the positive side, both the education and health care fields gained new jobs in August.
