“Essential Rule and Eye-Opening Advice for Writing Resumes and Cover Letters That Work”
Scott Bennett, New York: AMACOM, 2005. 199 pages.
Scott Bennett’s book guides the reader through the basic steps of writing a good resume, but also takes the next step to discuss other issues. For example, the book discusses the use of inquiry letters. A well written inquiry letter can be the element that makes recruiters remember your name during a hiring period. Bennett also includes information for special situations, such as homemakers and veterans. In short, this book will give you a well rounded and thorough approach to writing a winning resume.
The Elements of Resume Style is available in the Job Hunting section of the Career Resource Library in P304E.
