“Refresher Training Helps Nurses Reenter Workforce”

As the demand for nurses in this country continues to grow, a few projects have been developed to bring back those who’ve left the field. Emory has established a program that retrains former nurses to be up to date with the latest technology and regulations. Other places have created programs by which hospitals provide refresher training (such as the one at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA). For hospitals, attracting these older nurses makes sense as well, as many are likely to stay on the job for at least 10 years of more.
