Employers tend to prefer candidates who have a sense of humor. This article discusses ways of demonstrating that you have a sense of humor without sabotaging your interview. Have a sense of humor, but don’t get carried away. Telling a joke in a job interview is a dangerous strategy; instead, candidates can show they are funny by laughing at the humor of the interviewer. Building on the humor of another shows that you are both funny and courteous. A self-deprecating humor shows that you are confident without being arrogant. As with all things, remember to be yourself. This way you can honestly evaluate whether or not the position is a good fit for you.
