University of Chicago News Office, 4/17/07
A new report from the University of Chicago titled “Job Satisfaction in the United States” discovered that the highest job satisfaction is found amongst those whose careers focus on ‘caring for, teaching, and protecting others and (following) creative pursuits.” The top three professions for job satisfaction are clergy, firefighters, and physical therapists, while the other end of the scale mostly comprises low-skill, manual, and service occupations.
