The Best Places to Work website has released its latest biannual rankings of federal government agencies. This well organized website provides rankings for large and small agencies and agency subcomponents based on employee satisfaction and engagement. Scores are also available by category (such as effective leadership, family-friendly culture, and work/life balance), as well as demographic group. In addition, a “for jobseekers” section offers information about the federal job application process, benefits, etc., and an “analysis” page includes trends and profiles in federal employment.
Top ranked agencies include:
—Nuclear Regulatory Commission (best large agency overall)
—Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (best large agency overall)
—Office of Inspector General (Treasury) (best agency subcomponent overall)
—Department of State (best large agency among women)
—Federal Trade Commission (best small agency among women)
—Region 9 - San Francisco (EPA) (best agency subcomponent among women)
