Peter Monaghan, The Chronicle of Higher Education, June 29, 2007.

There is another career choice for animal lovers who want to make a difference, but not necessarily through veterinary work or political activism. The National Center for Animal Law at Lewis & Clark College School of Law prepares future lawyers to practice in the specialized area of animal law. While many students in the program arrive at there because of their passion for animal rights and protections, many are pragmatists: they want a comfortable life with a stable career where they can also feel good about the work they do, and they believe that a law degree with an emphasis on animal law is the solution.
