Ready to Relocate
By Alison Doyle, from About.com

Are you searching for a job outside of Boston? About.com has some tips for you!

One of their suggestions is using your network to find out about local jobs in your new community. Family, friends, and the Simmons Alumnet office (http://www.alumnet.simmons.edu/olc/pub/SNS/homepage.cgi) can help you establish connections. Conducting research on the cost of living in the area you want to move to will help determine the affordability of the area, and whether or not it is a good area to settle and work in. Physically being in the town or city where you want to find a job is the best way to get a job, so if this is possible, start packing! One of the key pieces of advice – be flexible!

To learn about some helpful internet resources read the article, or talk to a career counselor in the Career Education Center. Happy searching!
