Tough Interview Questions Alison Doyle About.com, November 30th, 2007 http://jobsearch.about.com/od/interviewquestionsanswers/a/toughquest.htm
Interviews can be a cause for anxiety for anyone on the job hunt. Being prepared and knowing some of the questions in advance, or setting up a mock interview with the Career Education Center can help ease that anxiety. This article found on About.com provides examples of challenging questions that your next employer may ask. Try writing answers to the following questions prior to your interview:
- Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a co-worker who wasn’t doing his or her share of the work, what did you do and what was the outcome?
- Tell me about a time when you did not work well with a supervisor: What was the outcome and how would you have changed the outcome?
- Tell me about a time when you worked conveying technical information to a non-technical audience.
Remembering the mission and goals of the organization, the company culture, and having faith in your own skills when answering the following questions can help you to have a smoother, less anxious interview.
To see more interview questions, read the article at the link above or call (617)521-2488 to make an appointment with a Career Counselor for a mock interview.
