Report From the Real World: Featuring Simmons Alumna!
By Margie Markarian, Career World, Feb/Mar2008, Vol. 36 Issue 5, p9-12.
Three recent graduates, with three different educational backgrounds, jobs, and lifestyles describe their post-school experiences so far. Justin Broughton lives in Florida, works for an information technology company and surfs on the weekends. Angie Dillett is experiencing life with her roommates in Chicago’s hip Bucktown neighborhood. She is an ‘experience designer’ in a trendy hotel and is aspiring to start a special events planning company. Desirae Simmons is one of our very own! A Simmons grad, living in Boston, she has turned a volunteer position into her first real job and is about to start paying back her College loans.
Read on for a flavor of life in the ‘real world’. Also included in this article are some lifestyle stats of College Grads.
