Readers Share Their Job Search “Don’ts” from Boston.com, July 16, 2008
“Don’t go straight for the benefits.” “Don’t name-drop.” “Don’t chew gum during the interview.”
Are any of those things that you do during your job interview? If they are, you may want to re-think your interview habits. Employers and hiring managers from all around Boston share their opinions on the absolute don’ts of job hunting and interviewing in this photo gallery from Boston.com. Along with the behavior to avoid, such as asking about money too early, they provide a reason why to avoid that behavior, and the impression such a behavior can leave on an employer. The last page of the gallery has a message board with even more of the biggest don’ts from employers around Boston.
