When you’re a full-time student, you live a very active, busy life that may not leave a lot of time for planning your future job-hunt. But there are definitely some skills that you are going to want to sharpen as early as possible. Reginald Stuart from Diverse Issues in Higher Education discusses some skills that college students, recent graduates, and new job seekers may want to polish, such as public speaking skills (not just for giving a presentation, but for having a polished sounding discussion when networking), personalizing a resume (not sounding like you copied and pasted a resume from the Internet), and watching your etiquette. Even if you’re not at the job application stage yet, practicing the skills discussed in this article will help you in the future.
