March is National Women’s History Month!

The theme for this year’s March celebration of National Women’s History Month is “Women Taking the Lead to Save our Planet.” For more information, including details about the celebration that’s going to happen March 28-29 in NYC, check out the National Women’s History Project website:
So, with a nod to women’s past leadership contributions, the CRL is thrilled to support the current women of Simmons College in their efforts to lead the way, We have business and career resources for students, and alums from all different programs. We even have a section of books dedicated to women’s career issues.
Women and Careers book collection at the CRL: This segment of our book collection addresses the particular issues that women have in relation to career. Take a glance at the titles we have.
Here are a few select books:
How to succeed in business without a penis: secrets and strategies for the working woman, by Karen Salmansohn, 2006.
Mompreneurs: a mother’s step-by-step guide to work-at-home success, by Patricia Cobe, 2002.
Pitch like a girl: how a woman can be herself and still succeed, by Ronna Lichtenberg, 2005.
Also, visit our Women and Career eLibrary, comprised of job banks, advice, and associations specific for women professionals.
