GSLIS Toolkit

Foundations

Sunday, September 7, 2008

Join us Sunday, September 7, for a full day of GSLIS training. Dixie Foster, the GSLIS West Library Assistant, will give you a jump start on your course work, whether you are new to GSLIS this term or a returning student in need of a refresher.

We will meet in the GSLIS West office at the Village Commons (under the Tower Cinema) at 9:30 am for coffee and Munchkins.

Sessions

The sessions will cover the following topics:

OPAC and Beyond: OPAC + GSLIS resources

Who is LISA, Anyway? Meet LISA and her good friends LISTA and Library Literature. This could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

RefWorks: Not Your Father’s Citation Tool! Build your own personal bibliography and save it on the web. If you haven't seen RefWorks lately, you haven’t seen RefWorks.

Ebooks Made E-Z: Save time and gas using resources from the Simmons collection of books online.

How Did We Do? Questions, conversation, and evaluation
