Taming TOR II

Are you a first term student who must complete Part II of the Technology Orientation Requirement? Must you always rely on another team member to build your class PowerPoint presentations? Or have you ever wondered what makes web pages look the way they do?

If so, Taming TOR II is for you. You will learn to:

• Design an effective PowerPoint presentation
• Build a basic Web page
• Display images on your page
• Manipulate text on your page
• Download free software to create a .pdf version of your PowerPoint
• Establish links to your .pdf presentation and external Web sites
• Download free FTP software to access your web server space
• Publish your site live on the Web!

Bring your own laptop and get yourself set up to enter the world of Web development.

If you come prepared with ideas for a presentation and Web page, you will be able to complete Tor II on the spot. And if you need some last minute coaching, Dixie will be in South Hadley on February 25 to give you a hand.
