How to Subscribe to CareerNow!

You can:

1. Collect syndicated web content with a news aggregator, OR

2. Add CareerNow! to your personalized home page, such as My Yahoo! or Google Personalized Home

News aggregators:

You can set up a news aggregator (aka aggregator, RSS reader, feed reader, feed aggregator or news reader) to collect news from your favorite websites and blogs – including CareerNow! – and deliver it to you in one central place. Aggregators improve upon the time and effort needed to regularly check websites of interest, minus the spam that comes with email. In effect, you are creating your own personal newspaper.

Some aggregators that you may want to try out are:

Google Reader (www.google.com/reader/)
NewsGator (www.newsgator.com/)
NewzCrawler (www.newzcrawler.com)
Bloglines (www.bloglines)

Once you have signed up for a free account with any of these web-based services, you will have the option to add feeds. Just click on the "Syndicate this Site" link on the CareerNow! page or look for the little orange "XML" or "RSS" rectangle on your favorite website. Then, copy the URL from the page that appears and paste it into your news reader's "add a feed" box. You've now subscribed to CareerNow!

Adding content to your personalized Yahoo or Google home page

Yahoo:
1. Sign into “my Yahoo!”
2. Click on “add content.”
3. Click on “add RSS by URL.”
4. Paste the CareerNow! syndication URL into the box.
5. Click Add
6. Click Add to My Yahoo!

Google:
1. Sign into your personalized home page.
2. Click “Add Content.”
3. Click “Create a Section.”
4. Paste the CareerNow syndication URL into the box
5. Click Go.
