A bit about the Program

Simmons competes in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) against schools like Becker College, U Maine Farmington, and Western New England College to name a few.

The Players

Simmons is a Division III program, which means there are no athletic scholarships. The current field hockey players are here because they love the game and want to continue playing from their high school years. Everyone on our team has played for 3 or 4 years in high school.

Preseason

Everyone asks if there are tryouts... so, here's the answer...Simmons Field Hockey is a competitive program. If you were a solid player in high school and have a desire to continue playing you should do so. There is a pre-season late in August and 18 players are invited to attend. There are also open tryouts during the first few days of school.
