Dix Scholars August Orientation
Congratulations on your acceptance to Simmons College! We invite you to join us at the Dix Scholars Orientation on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Simmons College Orientation, offers you the opportunity to meet other Dix Scholars, select your courses, and learn about the variety of resources available to you. Most importantly, you will get to know the essence of Simmons through its faculty, staff and students. You will talk and share ideas with both new and returning students, and you will meet faculty members and administrators who will share insights that can help in your transition to Simmons.
The Dix Scholars Orientation program on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 will include the following:
- Welcome address
- Math Placement Exam
- Registrar Panel
- Student Financial Services
- Dix Scholar Community Lunch
- Campus Tour
- Advising and Registration

Dix Scholars Fall Orientation
Dix Scholars and their families are invited to join the other Orientation attendees for the Opening Address and College Welcome from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on the Residence Campus.
On Tuesday, September 4, 2007 Dix Scholars are invited to attend the Dix Scholars luncheon from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Dix Scholars should try to attend one of the Honor Code Sessions (offered at 1:00, 1:45, and 2:30 p.m.). The afternoon will also include various information sessions that might be of interest to incoming Dix Scholars.
