Simmons Public Safety

The mission of the Department of Public Safety is to provide a safe and secure environment in which Simmons College Community members may learn, work, and live and to do so as part of a collaborative effort within the surrounding community.

A message from the Director of Public Safety

Simmons College, as a community of scholars, depends upon mutual trust among its students, faculty, and staff, fundamental respect for their rights, dignity, and worth of each other, and their full commitment to the highest level of quality and integrity of academic work.  These expectations are embodied in Simmons’ Policy on Nondiscrimination, the Honor Code of Responsibility, the General Standards of Conduct, and the Harassment Policy.

At Simmons the safety of our students, faculty, and staff is always at the top of our agenda.  We work hard to provide a secure campus, and we make available information and resources to members of the campus community to advise and educate them on making and keeping the environment safe.  All members of the Simmons community should take an active role in their own security.  If we can help you out in anyway please contact Public Safety at extension 1112.
