Online Job & Career Resources
Miller/Knopf Career Resource Library
The Miller/Knopf Career Resource Library (CRL) houses a variety of resources to assist you in developing your career, including a vast number of resources accesible over the internet. On the CRL website, you will find online tools for investigating your interests, professions, labor market trends, salaries, and graduate schools. You can find information by field or by where you are in your professional life. Workshops and other career related events are posted on the CRL News page.
The CRL also offers many services in person, including specialized career reference services, a large library of career reference books, a computer lab and study area. The CRL is located on the third floor of the Palace Road building on the Main Campus.
Some of the most requested online resources are:
Career Guides
If you're not yet sure what type of job you'd like or want to learn more about a particular field, the guides for Undergraduates and Graduates or by Major/Field are a good place to start. You will find all sorts of tools in the guides for discovering your interests and the careers that might suit you, employment projections by field, guidance and advice for creating and honing your resumé and cover letter, interviewing skills, and networking. You will also find information on studying abroad or preparing for grad school.
Self-Assessment Tests
The Self-Assessment Tools can help you determine what major to choose or discover your working styles and identify your unique set of skills.
Resume and Cover Letter Help
Your resumé and cover letter are usually the first contact you have with a potential employer. The Resumé, CV, and Cover Letter Resource page can help you present your unique skills and talents to get you the job that's right for you.
Career Research
The Career Research and Exploration page has all the resources you'll need to learn about different careers, check the projected demand for various positions, find out salary ranges, and more.
There are too many resources to list on one page, so be sure to visit the Career Resource Library and explore! If you need help, make an appointment with a librarian or just drop by.
Job & Intership Listings
The CEC has several online job and intership listing resources, for pre- and post-graduates and on- and off-campus jobs, which can be found under the Job and Internship page.
