Office of Sponsored Programs
The Office of Sponsored Programs is dedicated to serving the Simmons College faculty in the search for funds to support research and externally sponsored activities. From the inception of an idea to the submission of a proposal, the office is prepared to offer professional assistance in all phases of the process.
Resources are available to match potential funding sources to ideas and to assist in the interpretation of sponsor guidelines, preparation of the project budget, review and completion of any required certifications, review of the proposal for compliance issues, preparation of internal approval forms and the transmittal of the proposal.
Workshops are conducted in all phases of funding source identification and grant proposal writing.
The office coordinates with Institutional Advancement to insure that all possible sources of support are explored and that Simmons presents a coordinated approach to potential sponsors.
In addition to its fund seeking activities, the office provides administrative support to the college's Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects in Research (IRB) and the Fund for Research committee.
