Merit Based Programs
Simmons College offers several academic scholarships for full-time (12 credits per semester) entering undergraduate students. These awards are determined by the Office of Admission and are awarded at the time of admission.

Endowed Scholarships
Numerous endowed scholarships have been established through the generous contributions of friends, supporters, and alumnae/i of Simmons College. Financial need and academic performance are the most common criteria in awarding these scholarships. Students must apply for financial aid each year in order to be considered for these awards. These scholarships are awarded annually and are not automatically renewed for subsequent years. Endowed scholarships are used to meet a student's financial need and traditionally replace institutional grant funding. Students must be enrolled full-time (12 credits per semester). All eligible students who complete the FAFSA are automatically considered for these funds. Students can voluntarily offer additional information about themselves for consideration of these endowed scholarships by completing the Information Profile for Endowed Scholarships and submitting it to the Office of Student Financial Services.
State Scholarships
Undergraduate students should contact their state's board of higher education regarding application and eligibility requirements for any available scholarships. Not all states allow their grant monies to be used out of state. Currently, students from Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maine, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont may use their state schoalrship at Simmons College. State scholarships may be substituted for institutional grants.
