Time: Wednesday, May 18th, between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM
On Wednesday, May 18th, hardware replacement of the Windows file server will be performed overnight between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM. This replacement will upgrade the file server to more robust and reliable hardware. During this time, access to all shared drives and folders including AdminApps (W:), Dept (G:), Lab, Public (P:), Student (Y:), and User (H:, Y:) drives will be unavailable. This will affect access from computers on campus, as well as web access through http://remote.simmons.edu.
The terminal interface to Colleague and Benefactor, including the colon prompt, will not be available because their use requires the AdminApps drive. The UI interface will remain available.
This maintenance will not affect the School of Management file server.
