Update, 10:15 am: Printing services have been restored throughout the College. There may be an issue with some HP LJ 4xxx series printers.
Update, 9:50 am: there was a problem with one of the patches applied to the print server last night. Microsoft's solution is to remove the patch and edit the registry on the server. This work is taking place now and printing services should be restored by 10:15 am.
This is an alert from Technology at Simmons College.
As of Monday, September 12, at 8:30 am, we are experiencing a disruption in printing services throughout campus. Therefore, you will find that you cannot print to networked printers in Simmons offices. We expect to have service back by 9:30 this morning.
All other Simmons technology services are operating normally, including printing from general access computers such as those in labs and in the Library Information Commons.
The next email update will be an announcement when service has been fully restored. For more information about this service interruption, please check http://my.simmons.edu/technology, or call extension 2222 and press 3 to hear a status message. Both the web page and the status message will be updated approximately every 15 minutes throughout this disruption.
