This is critical information for users of Simmons computers.
As announced in December, Simmons has changed antivirus vendors and is now using Sophos Anti-Virus. All Simmons-owned computers should now be using Sophos, and no longer be using Symantec/Norton.
Please help us make sure all computers on campus are protected from viruses by checking the computer you use.
For Windows and Macintosh users:
If you do not see a blue shield (upper right corner on a Mac, lower right corner on a PC), please call the Help Desk at 617-521-2222, option 8.
If you see a red X over the blue shield for at least an hour, please contact the Help Desk at 617-521-2222, option 8. Please wait an hour before calling because Sophos updates every 45 minutes and you may see the red X for a short period, while an update is in progress.
