This message affects users of Simmons owned PC computers and personally owned PC computers running SOPHOS anti-virus. Macintosh computers are not effected.
Today, March 15th, 2006, Sophos issued an over the network update to their anti-virus software that may prompt users to reboot their computers. Users may choose whether to restart their computers immediately, after saving their work, or may close the dialog box and restart their computer at a later time for the update to take effect.
As these updates are released directly by SOPHOS, Technology has no advanced notification of them. However, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Help Desk at x2222.
