Request software installations for next fall by June 15

Technology at Simmons College wants to ensure that discipline-specific software you need for your fall 2006 courses is installed prior to the start of the semester. If you want software installed on several lab, general access, or classroom computers, we need to receive your request by June 15, 2006 for the fall semester. If you want software installed on one or two classroom instructor’s stations before the beginning of fall classes or within 3 weeks thereafter, we need to receive your request by August 20, 2006.

Please submit your request using our new and improved online form at http://my.simmons.edu/technology/support/software-install-request Fill out the on-line software installation form, if you have:

• discipline-specific software that you need installed on general access (i.e. Library Information Commons and Residence Hall Labs), technology lab or classroom computers
• software that comes with textbooks you assign
• special files, add-ins or plug-ins to accompany software

All computers in Simmons classrooms, labs, and general access spaces are running Windows XP or Mac OS X.4. Please be sure that the software you request is compatible with either Windows XP or Mac OS X.4. Please consult the list of what was installed this year to determine whether you need to make an installation request.
