Note: this work, originally scheduled for February 15, is being delayed until next week due to illness. We will reschedule for next week and make another announcement.

One day next week, technicians will be on the residence campus all day working on connections underlying the cable television system. While it is unlikely that your cable TV will be interrupted, you may notice a brief "blip" of a few seconds if you happen to be watching at the instant when the service is moved from one set of cables to another.

This work will only affect the residence campus, and will only affect one building at a time, one time each.

We believe that this work will address long-standing reception issues (e.g. a fuzzy picture) students have experienced, particularly in Mesick, Simmons, Dix, and the Sports Center. We had originally scheduled this work for September, the day before the Bartol Hall fire. Damage from the fire had to be repaired before technicians could come on campus to repair the cable television infrastructure.

The day after the work is completed, a Simmons technician will check reception on the residence campus in a number of locations. As always, if you encounter any problems related to your on-campus cable television service, please call 617-521-2222, or email helpdesk@simmons.edu.
