If you use Outlook on your Simmons office computer to schedule appointments, you need to run an application to update Outlook so that it will properly keep time now that Daylight Saving Time (DST) has begun. Technology has pushed the application to all Simmons Windows computers, but each user must run the application for him/herself. Then check that your appointments until April 3 are correct in Outlook.

Please open My Computer, and navigate to Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Office Outlook Time Zone Data Update Tool. Double click on tzmove.exe to launch the update tool, and follow the instructions. If you need assistance finding or running the application, please call the Help Desk at 617-521-2222, option 8.

If you use Outlook on your Simmons office computer to schedule appointments, consider using the College's electronic calendar, Meeting Maker, instead: http://my.simmons.edu/technology/helpdesk/meetingmaker/index.shtml

For more information about DST, please see http://my.simmons.edu/technology/DST/

We believe all Simmons computers were patched and reflect the correct time. If you notice otherwise (for example, does your computer's clock reflect the correct time), please notify the Help Desk at 617-521-2222.
