Starting this morning, Tuesday, December 4, some Simmons office printers, used by faculty and staff, began responding erratically to print requests. Some offices have experienced jobs printing twice, printouts displaying very small text, or not being able to print at all. Technology staff are working on the issue. There is a possibility the problem is confined to HPLJ4250 model printers.
If you are experiencing difficulty printing to an office printer, please call the Help Desk at x2222 (select option 8), so we can make sure your area's printer is on our list.
All other Simmons technology services are operating normally. The next email and voice mail update will be an announcement when we believe printing services have been fully restored. For more information about this service interruption, please check this web page, or call extension 2222 and press 3 to hear a status message. Both the web page and the status message will be updated throughout this disruption.
