Printers: technical info

These instructions are intended for Simmons faculty and staff using Simmons computers and printers, but may be useful to people working with their personally-owned comptuers as well.

Instructions for adding a printer to the list of printers to which you can print (if you would like assistance, please call the Help Desk at 617-521-2222):

• Windows XP
• Macintosh OS X.2 (Jaguar)
• Macintosh OS X.3 (Panther)
  

Only Technology or departmental technical staff should change toner and remove paper jams from public printers.  Also see Printing in the Residence Halls  for more information.  Instructions for clearing a printer jam, and printer maintenance suggestions:
