Science Center S251A

S251A contains 24 Windows XP computers for students, each loaded with Simmons software and other applications faculty have requested  The instructor' s station is equipped with a Windows XP computer with Simmons software, access to the MRS system and Internet, a DVD/VHS player, auxilliary video inputs (e.g. for a laptop or document camera), Direct TV, overhead projector, video data projector and a screen. There is a laser printer using the pay-for-print system.

Technology works closely with instructors to ensure that all software needed for classes or workshops is on the computers. Please complete a Software Installation Request Form to have software installed on the instructor' s station or student workstations in this room.

When not occupied by a class, S251A may also be used as a general access lab, and to accommodate students when the Information Commons is filled to capacity. S251A is open for use during Science Center building hours.
