Advertise Your Events on the MDS
The Message Display System (MDS) is a Simmons Cable TV channel carrying a looping Power Point presentation. This channel is displayed on monitors throughout campus.
Policy
The main purpose of the display panels placed around campus is to advertise Simmons news and events. An ancillary goal is to foster a sense of community and cohesion across all schools. The College intends that all displays in public areas, such as lobbies, be tuned to the same channel, which is most commonly the campus message display channel. At times, the President's Office may direct that the displays be tuned to another channel, for example a broadcast of the presidential inauguration.
To request that any display be tuned to another channel or to make a request that requires an adjustment to the existing college display, please contact the Manager of Media Services. Depending on the request, further consideration by Marketing Communications may be necessary.
