Consultation
Sometimes you have an idea for an activity, project, or course, but you're not quite sure how to make it happen. PTRC consults with faculty, departments, and schools - collaborating on the translation of ideas into innovative opportunities for learning.
Consultations may be brief, a phone call or conversation with one of our staff members, or may be extended, taking place over the course of a semester or year. For consultation on complex projects, we encourage faculty and staff to apply for a mini-grant or fellowship.
Sample Recent Consultations:
- Advice on how to use the Simmons eLearning course management system to increase foreign language vocabulary proficiency in a beginning Spanish course
- Assistance planning and implementing a three-week online module that involves collaboration between nutrition students at Simmons College and Ryerson University in Toronto, CA
- Assessment of an online course to suggest improvements and strategies for effective time management
- Participation in a CAS working group tasked with developing a framework for increasing information technology fluency among students.
