Cable/Phones on Residence Campus
Simmons provides students living in the residence halls with Comcast cable television service. Students bring their own televisions and a coaxial cable to connect the TV to the cable jack. Cable problems, such as poor reception, should be reported to the Help Desk, which will arrange for service. For more information about the cable system on the residence campus, please see the Cable Info page.
Simmons provides local phone service and voice mail to each resident. Students have an opportunity to sign up for long distance service through Paetec at highly favorable rates. Long distance accounts are protected by a PIN number and billed to the student. Students are free to make other long distance arrangements billable to them. Students provide their own telephone equipment, such as analog phones and cords. For problems with voice mail or the line into the room, call the Help Desk (617-521-2222) and follow the voice menu.
For more information about the phone system on the residence campus, including voice mail, please see the Phone & Voice Mail page.
