Antivirus Info

It is important to be aware of and secure your computer from the numerous threats that are prevalent today on the Internet. For this reason, Simmons College urges that all computers that connect to our network be protected with anti-virus software and that users be careful and alert when browsing the web and using email.

Network: Wired/Wireless

Simmons College Network has a state of the art, high performance network infrastructure. Direct access to the network is available at most locations throughout campus, including faculty and staff offices, classrooms with computers for student use, departmental computer labs, study areas, in the college and departments, residence halls, and in classrooms.

Username and Passwords

An account, consisting of a Simmons username and password, is required to log into online services. New students and employees automatically receive accounts, which provide access to Simmons computers, file server, email/webmail, AARC, eLearning and a personal web account. For a summary of these accounts and instructions for changing passwords, please see Username & Passwords. You may also call the Help Desk (617-521-2222) to request one of your passwords be reset; your Simmons ID number is required.
