Note from Mary D.
Two weeks and counting until the end of the semester and graduation. I was at the BGGE presentations last night and they were terrific!! I know that some students are done, and I am really psyched for them, but please remember that many students are not and need one final push to finish deliverables in courses like Investments, Operations, International Marketing and Strategy. Please be respectful of them needing computers and quiet time.
Strategy Discussion with Students - Open Forum
The Dean will host a discussion of future SOM strategy directions with students on Tuesday, July 26 at 9:15am-10:30am, following the Net Impact breakfast. All students are invited!!
Space Move Updates
We will begin the final transition out of the 419 building next week. The plan is to move the computer lab and library on the same two days. Study rooms will be done very quickly so that students will have only a few hours of down time. In the meantime, the business center, the oval dining room and other spaces in the 407-411 building have computers for students to work. Everyone has a transition plan for students to be fully serviced while we are moving, so know that you are our top priority next week as we meet a deadline of July 31.
Quotes of the Week
“Management means, in the last analysis, the substitution of thought for brawn and muscle, of knowledge for folkways and superstition, and of cooperation for force. It means the substitution of responsibility for obedience to rank, and of authority of performance for the authority of rank.” — Peter Drucker
“Excellence is in the details. Give attention to the details and excellence will come.” — Perry Paxton
