Welcome to all students, both new and returning! We look forward to working with you this year.

Holiday Hours
The library will be unstaffed Saturday, Sept. 3 through Monday, Sept. 5. The library will be staffed from 8:00am–6:00pm on Tuesday, September 6 and on Wednesday, September 7, the first day of class.

New Location
Please stop by the library and visit us in our new location, the lower level of the 411 building, the former MBA Office space.

New Students – Space is still available to sign up for a quick tour of the library. Learn how to get a book from another library, where to find “reserve” copies of class textbooks, where to find a quiet place to study, how to search various databases and much more… Tours will last about 20 minutes and will be given during the following times:

Wednesday, September 7 – 12:00pm and 5:15pm
Thursday, September 8 – 11:30am
Saturday, September 10 – 10:30am and 12:00pm
Tuesday, September 13 – 11:30am and 5:15pm
Wednesday, September 14 – 5:15pm
Thursday, September 15 – 12:00pm and 5:15pm

The sign-up sheets for the tours are at the circulation desk. Space is limited, so please sign up soon. If these times are not convenient, please stop by the library whenever you have the chance and we will be happy to show you around.

Seeking Part-time Graduate Student Library Assistants
Day/Evening/Weekend hours are available. If interested, please contact Kathy Berger, SOM Library Assistant, at 617-521-3847 or e-mail kathleen.berger@simmons.edu for an application.

Reference Interviews – For help with in-depth research projects and questions, please sign up to make an appointment with Linda or Kathy. To make an appointment, please email Linda at linda.wolf@simmons.edu or Kathy at kathleen.berger@simmons.edu. Times are available throughout the day. As always feel free to come by for any help you need using the databases and finding answers to homework questions and more…

Gentle Reminder: Books may only be checked out when the library is staffed. Reserve materials may be checked out for two hours.

Group Study Rooms – If you are looking for a group study room, the library has two group study rooms. Group study rooms can be reserved and the sign-up book for the group study rooms is located at the reception desk in the lobby of the 409 Building.

Course packs – due to copyright regulations the library does not have copies of course packs.
