Location: Trustman Art Gallery, 4th Floor, Main College Building

Please RSVP at: https://webform.ml.com/invites/WomenoftheWorld/email.html

Significant societal changes throughout the last century have given women of many countries a greater opportunity for independence than ever before. For others, it offered little relief from repression. However, new methods of communication have connected us to one another, diminishing differences, increasing understanding, and establishing opportunities for political, social and artistic dialogue. Such progress allowed Claudia DeMonte to pose a question - What image represents “woman”? - to women artists in 177 countries, inviting each of them to create a work of art expressing her view of the essential quality of woman.

The exhibition is sponsored by Merrill Lynch.
