As the research arm of Simmons SOM, the internationally recognized Center for Gender in Organizations (CGO) addresses these issues and more, focusing on the following areas:
Women and Leadership
Gender Equity and Organizational Effectiveness
Women Entrepreneurs
Dimensions of Diversity & Working across Differences

How is this work done by CGO?
through conducting in-depth and cutting-edge research
• Through offering customized consulting services to maximize workplace effectiveness
• By holding public events, seminars, and workshops to disseminate information and connect professionals
• By producing and providing publications and other resources of information

For the Students:

Luncheon Speaker Presentations

Focusing on the intersection between scholarship and practice, CGO brings both academic and business leaders to the SOM students:

Who? Speakers from the local community, representing both business and academic perspectives, will share their expertise and experiences with students.

Where? Speakers will come to the students, presenting in the classroom.

When? Twice per semester, during lunch.

What else? The presentations are free of charge and lunch is provided for attending students.
