This panel discussion explores the world of socially responsible investing, from options for retirement to different methods of screening companies for inclusion in a fund. Its focus is to facilitate informed investment decisions and it is a response to the explosive growth of “green” funds in the marketplace. Currently, there is over 2.7 trillion socially responsible investment dollars in the US universe of managed assets, which represents one out of every nine dollars invested. Over the last two years, an average of one new socially responsible fund is launched every two weeks. It is critical to distinguish between good marketing and good funds. The information will be useful to all level of investors, from those considering entering the equity markets for the first time, to the more seasoned mutual fund investors. After attending the panel, the audience will be empowered to begin researching SRI alternatives for their own portfolios.
