CHANGING DIRECTION - A Special Series for Career Changers

Sign up Now – Begins Tuesday, January 20, 2009 Limited to Eight (8) Participants

We are pleased to present a new workshop series specifically geared towards alumnae and students who are considering a significant career change. This series will replace the Job Seeker’s Network (JSN) meetings that have been, up until now, more general in nature. This is a pilot program.

Our purpose in experimenting with a new focus is to provide programs that meet the current needs of the alumnae and student community. More and more women are choosing to make significant changes in their careers. It takes courage and resilience to embark on this path, and there are many challenges. The goal of this group is to learn new ways of thinking about and working towards a career change while in the midst of colleagues faced with similar challenges.

The series is six weeks long. We ask that you make a commitment to attend every meeting so that we build a cohesive support group and work through the process together. Each meeting will build upon the prior one. At the end of the series, we will ask for your feedback for continuous improvement purposes.

Listed below are the proposed dates and topics for the upcoming winter and early spring. We hope you decide to join us and we welcome your feedback for continuous improvement. Please keep in mind that, if you are interested in participating, you MUST sign up ahead of time and agree to attend all sessions.

The group will be limited to EIGHT participants. A waiting list will be available. If successful, another group may start up in the Spring. Get on the list early.

March 31 – A New Story & Moving On

Since we are moving into the new SOM building in December 2008, we will notify participants the specific location of the meetings in mid January.
