MBA Office Updates

Note From Mary D.

Returning students know that I love sports analogies and it is tough to pick between the Patriots and the Red Sox. But, the common theme of both of their seasons so far is long term goals and checkpoint successes. They both have end goals-winning the Super Bowl (football), winning the World Series (baseball), but they have milestones along the way that give them the boost of confidence they need. For the Patriots it is starting the season 4-0; for the Red Sox it is winning the division. Many of you are now going into first exams, papers and other deliverables of the fall term and it will be the first checkpoint of the fall term. Build on your successes, learn from what you could have done differently and know that you have lots of opportunities left in the semester to use as other checkpoints of the term. It is also a long weekend for many of you. Try and take some time off to reconnect with your family and friends, or go to a movie or even sleep in later than usual!!

Quotes of the Week

"A dictionary is the only place that success comes before work. Hard work is the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if you're willing to pay the price." --Vince Lombardi.
