MBA Office Updates

Note from Mary D.

Well it is the playoffs and since golf is my favorite sport with a major tournament this weekend,  I decided that it might be time to resurrect the sports analogies!! Momentum would be my analogy of the week. In your MBA program, momentum can build or swing when you finish a big IT or Strategy presentation, get the Ops midterm behind you, or have a class end. It is that sense of confidence that comes from accomplishment and success towards a goal. One thing that I always observe in you as a collective group of students is that you never lose sight of your end goal, which is not just to get the MBA, but to come out of each semester or the program different than you started, with stronger skills and abilities and more confidence. You come to class every week, multiple days and nights, for 3 to 11 semesters. You prepare hard, and you each give it your all, every day and every week. You are all a great example of momentum that never quits!

Quotes of the Week

“ Sometimes being pushed to the wall gives you the momentum necessary to get over it!“

--Peter de Jager

“One way to keep momentum going is to have constantly greater goals. "

--Michael Korda

Library Updates

Group Study Rooms

We have had some issues recently where a group has signed up for a group study room, made the long trek up to the fifth floor, and found another group occupying that room. This is a reminder that you must sign up with the library if you want to use a group study room. If you have not signed up for the room and a group who has comes to use it, then you need to give them preference in using the room. We appreciate you following this policy, especially during this period when many groups are meeting.
