MBA Office Updates

Note From Mary D.

I had great track meetings with the new students this week and have one upcoming for returning students. It is clear that the workload and upcoming deliverables continues to increase and I encourage all of you to do a couple of things! Keep some balance in your life with family, friends, exercise and build in some breaks; evaluate on a regular basis what is working well and where you need to spend more time; meet with your study group and/or your faculty if you need help and keep smiling!! What was very clear in my meetings this week is that students are loving what they are learning every day and night and that was great to hear!!!

Marketing Research in Practice: MBA Assist for Faculty Research Project Needed

Professors Wilson, Nelson, and Marlino are working on a research project to better understand the relationship of career intentions/motivations and self confidence in relationship to the growth goals women entrepreneurs hold for their organizations. We would very much like to hire an MBA student to work with us being responsible for overseeing the implementation of an electronic survey to members of our partner organization. This will include pre-testing of the questionnaire designed by the faculty, and follow-up phone calls/emails to ensure a sufficient response rate. The student will also assist the faculty team in some analysis of the data. Great resume experience. Availability for follow-up calling during the day required. Standard MBA payment rates apply. Those interested, please email Teresa Nelson (teresa.nelson@simmons.edu). Thank you!

Standard MBA payment rates apply. Mostly flexible scheduling. Those interested, please email Teresa Nelson (teresa.nelson@simmons.edu). Thank you!
