MBA Office Updates I had great track meetings with
the new students this week and have one upcoming for returning students. It
is clear that the workload and upcoming deliverables continues to increase and
I encourage all of you to do a couple of things! Keep some balance in your
life with family, friends, exercise and build in some breaks; evaluate on a
regular basis what is working well and where you need to spend more time;
meet with your study group and/or your faculty if you need help and keep
smiling!! What was very clear in my meetings this week is that students are
loving what they are learning every day and night and that was great to
hear!!! "Enthusiasm
is excitement, motivation and a pinch of creativity" Bo Bennett "Leadership
is unlocking people's potential to become better" Bill Bradley

you do not see your country of origin or affiliation in the above list and

join us on Thursday, October 4, from 3:15-5:45 for a little wine, a little

requested MBTA bus passes for October 2007, they are available and ready for
pickup at the MBA Office. Come by the MBA Office and ask Paola and she will
give you your bus pass.
Entrepreneurship Program Seeking
MBA Assist for Special Projects The Entrepreneurship Program is
looking for interested MBA students to assist in delivery of the program on a
project basis including involvement with the Entrepreneurship Advisory Board,
research projects on entrepreneurship topics, and a range of "what's
going on" activities. Standard MBA payment rates apply. Mostly flexible
scheduling. Those interested, please email Teresa Nelson (teresa.nelson@simmons.edu). Thank
you! Fiona Wilson, Faculty Director,
Silverman Business Plan Competition, and the Entrepreneurship Initiative at
SOM are looking for students who would like to volunteer to assist at the
semi-final (Thursday, October 4, 2007 from 5:30 – 9:00 pm) and final
round of the Silverman Business Plan Competition (Friday, October 12, 4:00
– 6:30pm) For the semi—finals, we need students who are willing
to be official time keepers and escorts for the semi-finalists. This is a
great opportunity for anyone who would like exposure to professional level
business plan presentations, as this event is not open to the public and the
only way for students to attend is via this opportunity. For the finals we
also need escorts and a time keeper. Please email entrepreneurship@simmons.edu
if you are interested no later than 9/23. Microsoft
