NAWMBA works to educate students on the career opportunities available and the skills that are necessary to succeed by supporting local chapter programs as well as publications and events at the national level, including an annual national conference hosted by a different graduate school program each year.  The organization also encourages women to attend and successfully complete graduate business school programs by supporting the formation of local school-hosted chapters.  Simmons chapter contact is Alicia Boozer. Entrepreneurship Club

Are you interested in starting and growing a new business or expanding a current business? The Entrepreneurship Club will:

  • Provide an environment to exchange ideas and gather support for new ventures
  • Sponsor outreach and community-based programs to further develop and formulate new businesses
  • Create opportunities to access area women business entrepreneurs and leaders

Entrepreneurship is more than a set of tools and techniques for starting and growing a business. It's a mindset, a way of looking at things that is opportunity focused and creative. It's about passion -- doing what you love. It's about creating wealth in all its forms: money, independence, power, and innovation. It's about challenge and persistence. And it's about creativity and writing new execution strategies for the way things are done. Please contact Darla Pires-DeGrace at darla.pires-degrace@simmons.edu or  617.521.3839.

Ethics Club

The mission of the Ethics Club is to serve as a learning resource to Simmons MBA students for a wide range of business ethics issues. The club will examine how ethical decisions impact business successes or failures. Areas of interest include sustainability; economic, social and environmental concerns; corporate accountability; ethical decision making; socially responsible investing; and social enterprise. The assumption is that ethical issues are complex business dilemmas for which better decisions can be found through ongoing discussion. The SAC mission is to enhance students' educational experience inside and outside of the classroom and further the MBA office goal of continuous improvement to the MBA program. Women of Color Club

Mission Statement To empower, develop, and enrich the lives of the SOM women of color through personal and professional development.
We propose that the mission be realized through professional development events (hosted by WOCC and local events), social events, and resource sharing. In Professional development we will host; Targeted lectures, Tea Time Discussion, as well as other faculty and career services events. There will be several social gatherings and collaborations within different communities. In hope that the social gatherings will help in building a community where we are comfortable turning to one another for advice, support, resources (access to network, job opportunities, etc.) Contact Delia Pollack at delia.pollack@simmons.edu
