Staff Development

The Staff Development Committee is pleased to announce that the application for the 2008-2009 awards is available for download below or right:

Submissions: Applications should be emailed to staffdev@simmons.edu. The next deadlines are August 15, 2008, November 15, 2008 and March 15, 2009. Notification of awards will be sent within two weeks after the application deadline. Please note that no awards will be given to reimburse for development activities that have already taken place, so please plan your activity to coincide with the deadlines.

The Board of Trustees has allocated funds toward the professional development of Simmons staff. The committee's goal is to award funds to staff wishing to participate in conferences, workshops, and other wide-ranging projects/activities promoting areas such as community building, innovation, knowledge-sharing, diversity, and the strengthening and enhancement of Simmons College. All applications will be reviewed by the committee and those in queue for approval will require a final sign-off from the manager.

Committee members are available to answer any questions that staff may have about this exciting initiative. Below is a list of the Staff Development Fund committee members. You may also send questions to staffdev@simmons.edu.
