Help Desk
When & Where is Help Available?
During the 2009-2010 academic year, Help Desk assistance is available at the following times:
- Monday-Friday:8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
- Saturday:8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (via TechChat and email only)
- Sunday:12:30 - 4:30 p.m. (via TechChat and email only)
During the summer, Help Desk assistance is available at these times:
- Monday-Friday:8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
- Saturday:8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (via TechChat and email only)
The Help Desk solves most inquiries and issues over the phone. If the issue cannot be resolved over the phone, we will open a work order (or "ticket") and one of our technicians will be assigned your problem for resolution.
Help with your personally-owned computer: You may attend a Self-Help Clinic (see the current schedule). Help Desk technicians will provide step-by-step guidance to help you troubleshoot your own computer. Information Commons Technology Desk
The Information Commons Technology Desk on the 1st floor of the Library provides walk-in technical support for students and others using the Library.
The desk's schedule coincides with the Library's hours; please check the Library's web site. Students with software questions or faulty media can come to the Information Commons for help.
