Simmons students, faculty, and staff have access to special Simmons and general academic discounts on hardware and software through our online stores. At the e-academy store, you will find the best price on Microsoft products, including Office 2007, and an upgrade to Windows Vista. 

Microsoft Windows Vista

If you have Windows Vista, caution:

  • Windows Vista runs with Internet Explorer 7 (IE7). IE7 is not approved for Simmons eLearning. The known issues are highly unlikely to affect student users. Faculty trying to load files may be affected.

Microsoft Office 2007

If you have Microsoft Office 2007, caution:

  • Earlier versions of the Microsoft Office applications cannot read documents saved using the default settings in Office 2007. If you use Office 2007, please be sure to use the "Save as" feature to save your documents in a file format that previous versions of Office can read. For example, in Word, use Save as and choose Word 2003.
